Preciosa offers a few different types of imitation pearls. Nacre pearls and cabochons are the most exclusive veriety with crystal cores and exeptionall coating. While regular glass pearls have 2-3 colored layers (up to 7 layers for high quality beads), Preciosa® Nacre Cabochons are covered with at least 12 ultra thin nacre layers, creating almost magical luster and inner glow. This process is very similar to how natural pearls are formed. The unique coating of Nacre Cabochons is resistant to abrasion, UV-light and alcohol based perfumes.

Nacre Cabochons are a part of the premium quality "MAXIMA by Preciosa" line. All MAXIMA components are lead-free.
