Celestine derives its name from the Latin word "caelestis" meaning celestial. This lovely pale blue stone is relatively brittle. Handle it with care, avoid strong sunligh to prevent color fading and do not submurge it in water.
Genuine gemstone eggs are seldom perfectly smooth. Small geodes and cracks are not caused by any mechanical damage, they are a natural part of the stone.
