Jasper is an opaque stone from quartz-family with a large range of colors. It is seldom one-colored; spots, flecks and patterns are very common for jasper. Inclusions and veins of picture jasper may sometimes look like scenes or images.

Large beads like these are not always perfect. When a large gemstone is being formed into a bead, it's natural mineral fractures, small uneven areas or micro geodes are still there and may sometimes be seen in some beads. They are a natural part of the stone.
