Preciosa offers a few different types of imitation pearls. Nacre pearls is the most exclusive veriety with crystal cores and exeptionall coating. While regular glass pearls have 2-3 colored layers (up to 7 layers for high quality beads), Preciosa® Nacre Pearls are covered with at least 12 ultra thin nacre layers, creating almost magical luster and inner glow. This process is very similar to how natural pearls are formed. The unique coating of Nacre Pearls is resistant to abrasion, UV-light and alcohol based perfumes.

Nacre Pearls are a part of the premium quality "MAXIMA by Preciosa" line. All MAXIMA components are lead-free.
